Email Clients Setting (Text version)
Outlook Express
- Open Outlook Express
- Click on Tools and then Accounts
- Click on the Mail tab.
- Click on Add and choose Mail
- Type the display name and click next
- Choose "I already have an email address..."
and enter it the email address field
- Click next
- Make sure that Incoming Mail Server Type
is POP3
- Both the incoming and outgoing mail servers are pop3.lanset.com
and smtp.lanset.com
- Click next
- Enter the username and password
for the email account in question
- Click next
- Click Finish
- Click Close
- Click Send and Receive to check your new
email account
Netscape
- Open Netscape
- Click on Edit and then Preferences
- Double-click on Mail and Newsgroups
- Click on Identity
- Under Your Name, type your
name
- Under email address, type your email address
(example: username@lanset.com)
- Reply to Address and Organization
can be left blank
- Click on Mail Servers
- Under Incoming Mail Servers, click on add,
and enter pop3.lanset.com
- Enter your username into the Username field
- Under the Outgoing Mail Server, type smtp.lanset.com
- Enter your username into the Username field
- Click OK
- Open Netscape Mail and click on Get
Messages to get your email
Eudora
- Open Eudora
- Click on Tools and then Options
- Click on Getting Started
- Under POP Account, enter yourusername@mail.lanset.com
- For Real Name, enter your name
as you want people to see it.
- Under Return Address, enter your email
address (example: username@lanset.com)
- Under Category, select Hosts
- In the SMTP text box, type mail.lanset.com
- Under Category, scroll down to Advanced Network
and select it
- Uncheck Cache network info
- Set Network open timeout to 900 seconds
- Set Network timeout after to 900
seconds
- Click the OK button
- Click on Tools and click on Get Messages
Outlook 97
- Open Outlook 98
- From the Tools menu, choose Accounts
- Click the Add button, and choose Mail
- In the Display name box, type your
name
- Click the Next button.
- In the E-mail address box, type your e-mail
address (e.g., username@lanset.com)
- Click the Next button.
- From the drop-down list, choose POP3.
- In the Incoming mail (POP or IMAP) server box, type
pop3.lanset.com.
- In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server box, type
smtp.lanset.com
- Click the Next button.
- Select Log on using: POP account
name, Password.
- In the POP account name box, type your
username.
- In the Password box, type your password
- Click the Next button.
- In the Internet mail account name box, type
Lanset Mail (Note: this can be anything you
want)
- Click the Next button.
- Select Connect using my phone line
- Click the Next button.
- Select Use an existing dial-up connection.
- Select your Lanset connection
- Click the Next button.
- Click the Finish button to save settings
- Hit F5 to check your messages
Outlook 2000
- Open Outlook 2000
- From the Tools menu, choose Accounts
- Click the Add button, and choose Mail
- In the Display name box, type your
name
- Click the Next button.
- In the E-mail address box, type your e-mail
address (e.g., username@lanset.com)
- Click the Next button.
- From the drop-down list, choose POP3.
- In the Incoming mail (POP or IMAP) server box, type
pop3.lanset.com.
- In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server box, type
smtp.lanset.com
- Click the Next button.
- Select Log on using: POP account
name, Password.
- In the POP account name box, type your
username.
- In the Password box, type your password
- Click the Next button.
- In the Internet mail account name box, type
Lanset Mail (Note: this can be anything you
want)
- Click the Next button.
- Select Connect using my phone line
- Click the Next button.
- Select Use an existing dial-up connection.
- Select your Lanset connection
- Click the Next button.
- Click the Finish button to save settings
- Hit F5 to check your messages
