SMTP/Port25 Filtering

If you can receive your Lanset email but can't send email and have cable/DSL/WiFi/other service, your provider maybe blocking port 25.

You can test for port 25 filtering by opening a DOS prompt and typing the following line in,
then hit "enter"
telnet 25

If port 25 filtering is active, the result should look like this:
"Connecting To not open connection to the host, on port 25: Connect failed"

You need to contact your service provider to get their SMTP server settings to replace the Lanset SMTP server.
This will let you send email from your Lanset account, through their network and your recipients will still see your Lanset email address.
